The fissure of a bliss: a reading of Hilda Hilst's The Pink Notebook by Lori Lamby (1990) through the work The Pleasure of the text (1973), by Roland Barthes

The article aims to analyze Hilda Hilst’s The Pink Notebook by Lori Lamby (1990) along with the Barthesian notions present in the book The Pleasure of the Text (1973). More precisely, we will work on the notion of bliss (jouissance) to verify the hypothesis that the Hilstian work might be characterized by what Barthes called the text of bliss. The porosity between Lacan’s and Barthes’seminars in the 1970s justifies the focus given on Lacan’s bliss conception and its first outlines in Freud’s work. Finally, we will reflect upon how the bliss is shaped in Hilst’s text in order to inquire how the erotic/pornographic language corroborates the transgression that the word aspires to inaugurate. At last, the proposal will be combined with the theoretical assumptions of Sigmund Freud, Jacques Lacan, Georges Bataille, Eliane Robert Moraes, Alcir Pécora, Lúcia Castello Branco, among others. Consequently, the research intends to be a contribution to Hilstian and Barthesian studies in Brazil and Latin America by revisiting their works and offering new (and plural) readings regarding these authors.
