Abstract

This article aims to reflect on the relationships between landscape, memory and language in the work La femme sans sépulture (2002), by the Algerian author Assia Djebar, in light of the notion of Geopoetics coined by the Martinican writer, poet and essayist Édouard Glissant. These three dimensions (landscape, memory/time and language), which characterize the conception of Geopoetics, lead to a broader view of the political and sociocultural reality of the world and a possibility of reconstructing History beyond official records. In this way, it is intended to present a reading of the novel under this glissantian gaze, which, through the Poetics of Relation, seeks to apprehend the real from these three essential dimensions of understanding the world and, thus, rewrite, through several possible stories, the past of countries marked by colonization, such as Martinique by Glissant and Algeria by Djebar.

    Michelli Almeida é mestranda na área de estudos linguísticos do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras Estrangeiras e Tradução da Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo, na linha de pesquisa de práticas discursivas e linguísticas com foco em processos de construção identitária. É graduada em História (2009) e em Letras (Português e Francês - 2018) pela FFLCH-USP e licenciada em História (2010) e em Letras (Português e Francês - 2022) pela Faculdade de Educação da USP (FEUSP).

  • Véronique Marie Braun Dahlet, Universidade de São Paulo. Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas

    Professora Titular pela Universidade de São Paulo. Doutorado em Letras Semiótica dos Textos e dos Documentos - Universidade de Paris VII (1990) e pós-doutorado na École Normale de Lyon (2011). Foi professora na universidade de Lublin (Polônia) e de Porto (Portugal), Professora Visitante na UFRN, na Universidade das Antilhas e da Guiana e na Universidade de Paris III - Sorbonne Nouvelle. Voltada, num primeiro momento, para a linguística do escrito (pontuação, sintaxe, ritmo) e a Didática das Línguas (aquisição da escrita), publicou "Ponctuation et Énonciation", 2003, Ibis Rouge Editora/ GEREC-F e "As (man)obras da pontuação. Usos e significações", 2006, Associação Editorial Humanitas/FAPESP, e dirigiu a publicação "Ciências da linguagem e didatica das linguas", 2011, Associação Editorial Humanitas/FAPESP. Hoje, seus temas de pesquisa remetem à subjetividade e identidade dos sujeitos plurilíngues (autobiografias linguageiras). Membro do Conselho editorial dos periódicos Semen/Revue de Sémio-linguistique des textes et discours (França), Sitientibus (UEFS) eTradTerm (USP).
