Coordinación macroeconómica en el MERCOSUR: algunas definiciones y prescripciones de política económica para una unión monetaria prospectiva

Resumo

This paper provides some definitions and policy prescriptions for a prospective monetary union, i.e. a monetary union that may occur in a future in the MERCOSUR. In doing so, the paper assumes that the most accurate and pragmatical option is to carry out a monetary cooperation strategy, through which the countries share their common sights about macroeconomic policies, and then to advance until higher integration degrees are achieved.
