This is a review of the book The Crisis of Narration by philosopher Byung-Chul Han. In this book, released in 2023 by Editora Vozes, the author discusses the disappearance of authentic narratives in modernity. For Han, the excess of information that comes with digital platforms leads to an unbridled consumption of “narratives” on social media, a phenomenon that causes individuals to lose their sense of community and empathy with each other.
