Abstract

This article is the result of a Master research that searched to understand the receipt of the stories of Harry Potter and Twilight Saga, through the creation and reading fanfiction. A theoretical reflection based on the Aesthetics of Reception and Fans Studies was developed. As we considered that the production of meaning is realized mainly through interaction and the negotiations between the members of these groups of reading, the corpus for this analysis is composed of the reader's review and author's notes by the four most commented fanfictions of each universe fictional, totaling 32,771 comments. Furthermore, 21 interviews with authors and readers were made, eleven with the Twilight Saga's fans and ten with Harry Potter's fans.
