Abstract

This article aims to explain the relations between literature and the city in Turbulence (1991). First, we will introduce the reader to the discussions on the formalization of the space from a quick review on how it is figured by the deve-lopment of the plot. This analysis will allow us to address the contradictory way in which the narrator’s point of view deals with the different materials presented throughout the narrative. Finally, by means of a detailed study, we will select a passage to show how the space has a key role in building the scenes and its possible meanings.
