Mapping Psychological Gestures (PGs) for female categories found in the drama of Nelson Rodrigues

Report of a study of female characters in the dramaturgical work of Nelson Rodrigues accomplished through a theoretical and practical research that involved not only the classification of characters into six categories, but also a body composition of Psychological Gestures (GPs) for each category. In the article is a reflection on the process of practical research, in which "physical actions" used by the researcher articulate the elements of the Continuum of Startle Reflex elaborated by Keleman, withthe concept of Psychological Gesture (PG), developed by Michael Chekhov. The report concludes with the application of GPs elaborated how technical process of creating characters from the play Dorotéia by Nelson Rodrigues.Downloads
