We are interested in understanding how the film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off articulates dialectically with its historical time. The 1980s were marked by the diffusion of values associated with postmodernity as well as with the neoliberal ideals that were becoming popular in that period. Like other Hollywood productions, the film here presented traces the ideal profile of man according to the individualistic morality of the Reagan era.
