Abstract

This quantitative-descriptive study aimed to identify the pattern of consumption of psychoactive substances among undergraduate nursing students. Participants were 393 undergraduate nursing students from the Catholic University of Minas Gerais. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics. Results show that the use of psychoactive substances among nursing students is significant, becoming a preoccupying factor regarding their health. The consumption of psychoactive substances among undergraduate nursing students is a problem that must be addressed through the implementation of preventive and damage reduction programs.
