Abstract

Childhood should not be studied from the question of “what is the child’s world”, because their world is the same for adults. Thus, there is not a “point of view about the world of children”. In fact, the child (just like us) is a “point of view about the world”. With Foucault, we could say that to be able to take a point of view is a power of the speech. Power that the child does not hold, as shown by analysis of texts about childhood published in 2011 in the two largest Brazilian weekly magazines, Veja and Época.
