Abstract

The present article is committed to the debate over politics of representation and the way it supports made-possible visibilities, specifically considering those related to the indigenous (representation) question. We challenge the process of establishing identities, indicating that those are ever provisional. Thus, we analyze audiovisual productions that can be defined as hybrid as they blend (both subjectlike and formally) elements from referential (or documental) language and those coming from fictional (or imaginative) language into their narratives. Through the gap between visibility and invisibility, attraction and repulsion, identification and difference, subjects and non-subjects, we take a glance at the shift of a culture of visuality.
