Abstract

By focusing on the concepts of social representations (MOSCOVICI, 2010) and identification processes as subjective inscriptions towards the spaces of otherness (LANDOWSKI, 2002), we analyze how fictional patterns proceed on distributing social stands. Fictional dimension is comprehended as the ways which the subjects can mobilize discursive strategies, in order to recompose everyday experiences and give them new forms of visibility. We observe in the films Freedom Writers (Richard Lagravanese, 2007) and The Sky Above (Sérgio Borges, 2009) how these forms of showing actuate in terms of the domestication of otherness or in terms of recognizing alterity as an unassailable condition.
