Abstract

Application of (2-chloroethyl) trimethyl ammonium chloride (CCC) 1000 ppm, succinic acid-2, 2-dimethylhydrazide (SADH) 3000 ppm, 2-chloroethane phosphonic acid (CEPA) 300 ppm, and water were realized on seedlings of tomato plants under greenhouse conditions. Sprays were carried out at 12 days and in some treatments repetead 20 days after transplant. It was observed that growth retardants did not affect significantly average yield, total yield neither fruit classification. SADH applied twice reduced the number of tomato fruits. CEPA showed a tendency to increase tomato production. The growth retardants reduced significantly tomatoes height. CCC reduced stem diameter of tomato plants.
