DETERMINISMO E PROBABILIDADE EM BIOLOGIA

Abstract

In the last twenty years, the Stocastic Process are assuming an increasing importance in Statistics and find multiple applications in Biology such as in the theory of population growth, stochastic models in the theory of epidemics, in the theory of gene frequencies and so on. This paper has the purpose of divulgating the basic ideas in this field, the motivation being the birth-and-death process.
