Abstract

Crystals of pyromorphite were found in the old gold mine of Araqariguama (State of Sao Paulo), as an unusual component in veins of auriferous quartz. They are perfect, double-ended, not altered crystals, measuring from a few millimeters to microscopic sizes. The habitus prevailing is prismatic, rarely pyramidal. Color yellowish green and typical resinous luster
