Flora of the Serra do Cipó, Minas Gerais: Caricaceae

The study of Caricaceae is part of the project “Flora of Serra do Cipó, Minas Gerais, Brazil”. The family is represented in the area by a single species: Jacaratia heptaphylla (Vell.) A.DC. A description and an illustration are provided, as well as comments on the geographic distribution, variability and ecological aspects of the species.
