Applications of anthropology as seen by Evans-Pritchard

What can anthropology do besides expanding knowledge in the academic field? E. E. Evans Pritchard reflects on this and other issues in the Conference "Applied Anthropology", it was delivered in 1945 and is now translated into Portuguese. By the time of the communication, the discussion about how to apply anthropology outside academic knowledge was central. It combined at least two of the activities most performed by anthropologists, especially the British ones: To attend to the government's demands and to build an independent field of scientific knowledge.
