Zionist education and propaganda are essential to sustain the project of an ethnic Jewish State in Palestine. The occupation, blockade, ethnic cleansing and all violence perpetrated by Israel are justified by the characterization of the Palestinian people as violent, ungovernable, terrorist and solely responsible for the lack of peace in the territory. This discourse is built on an Islamophobic and Orientalist narrative that opposes the “civilized” West to the “barbaric” East. This article analyzes the Islamophobia present in the educational booklets of the Zionist organization Stand With Us Brazil, how the Palestinian people are portrayed in it and its impact on the construction of the Jewish-Zionist identity.
