Abstract

This text analyzes literature professor, writer, and musician Jose Miguel Wisnik's Livro de Partituras. In his work, the author tries, through music, to understand the affective relationship between the pianist and the song composer and the piano and the significance of the words in the music. Such an understanding guides the author to emphasize the significance of cultural
manifestations stemming from the literature and music of a country. As a composer, through his creations included in the Livro de Partituras, he can dimension the two arts of music and literature and integrate them into the frontier of "high" popular music.
