This paper analyzes José Donoso’s Conjeturas sobre la memoria de mi tribu taking into consideration the discussion proposed by Philippe Lejeune on the autobiographical pact and space, as well as Agamben’s reflection about the creation and the figure of exception. In particular, the paper focuses its analysis on the emergence of the figure of the writer, on the identity configuration through family history and on the importance of family space and time in Donoso’s work.
