The recent publication of the book by Ivar Oddone, Alessandra Re and Gianni Briante has filled a major gap in our publications. Although the authors have disseminated one of the most innovative practices in the approach to the work-health relationship, until now, those interested in the subject have not had a Portuguese version. This considerable delay may lead us to question the reasons for bringing a book published several decades ago to Brazil, in a context that is totally different from the one we live in today. Is it the result of a dated experience that was important at the time, but no longer meets any of our current needs?
