ABSTRACT: This study aims to present, from a comparative perspective, aspects of Sérgio Vaz's ninth book of poems, Flores da Batalha (2023), including the trajectory of the publications Literatura, Pão e Poesia (2011) and Flores de Alvenaria (2016), collections by the same author that preceded it and with it establish a trilogy. The work seeks to give new meaning to this speaker's topics in the invention of a poet's ethos that transcends the margins of society by bringing it closer to social practices in our letters.
