This paper proposes a discussion on the Mozambican cinema post-Independence, in order to discuss the very important film in the construction and affirmation of Mozambican national identity. The object of study in question comes from the movie O grande bazar by Licinio Azevedo, released in 2006. The film analysis will also include the mode of narrative construction and some thematic recurrences in order to highlight features formal, aesthetic and content.Downloads
