Is it possible to save politics?

Abstract

Politics, an essential instrument for the exercise of democracy, is at risk. The analysis that follows contemplates two variables of this crisis. The first is the growing fragility of political parties, because of their errors or of the citizens’ disbelief. In this case, better ethics and governance are proposed, as well as submitting political parties to the law of access to information. The second variable is the role to be played by civil society. One should seek to put back in the national agenda some underestimated priorities in the context of civic activism in the country.
