Abstract

This research deals with the emotions that the psychosocial professionals experience vis-a-vis child sexual abuse during the psychosocial evaluation that subsidizes the judges in their decisions. We tried to know the affective-emotional processes of these professionals when dealing with child sexual abuse. The participants were five psychologists and one social assistant, with ages from 29 to 40 years old. The analysis of the results showed that it is the child, victim of abuse, who gives the judicial process a real meaning; the professionals expect punishment for the father who practiced aggression, showing identification with the children they attend to.
