Focus and Scope

Khronos - Revista de História da Ciência is a semiannual publication of the CHC - Interunits Center for the History of Science of the University of São Paulo (founded in 1988) - focused on the history and epistemology of the natural sciences, life sciences, human sciences, techniques and related areas. The perspective is interdisciplinary and aims to stimulate the interpretative possibilities of scientific and technical knowledge processes in their historical contexts.

Results of original research on topics from antiquity to the 21st century are published. In addition to these, texts from the memoirs of scientists or institutions are welcome, as well as unpublished translations, reviews, news from research projects and other subjects of interest to historians.

The contents expressed in texts published by Khronos are the sole responsibility of their respective authors.

This magazine offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.
