Abstract

This article aims to show how concepts from ancient Rhetoric, as well as Dialogic Discourse Analysis (DDA) notions and categories, inspired in the works of Bakhtin and the Circle, can be understood as theoretical-methodological basis for the analysis of persuasion in discourse. Two different texts, from different speech genres, are used as examples to demonstrate the persuasion in dialogic relationships expressed by broad and different spheres of human activity, in connection with the organization of social life, space and time.
