In this article, within the theoretical-methodological framework of Pecheutian Discourse Analysis, we aim to carry out a theoretical-analytical experiment on the conception of argumentation and, in doing so, present consequences for working with text(s) in the process of argumentation teaching. Initially, we endeavored to integrate the concept of argumentation into Discourse Analysis; then, we analyzed a selection of texts to expose a discursive approach teaching argumentation when working with text(s). Based on this work and on the analyses, we contend that the teaching of argumentation, from a discursive perspective, requires both the teacher and the student to be exposed to a type of work with the text in which they can experiment to relate themselves in a hand-to-hand way with language, in such a way as to move from the communicative function of the text to its functioning structured by the symbolic work of ideology.
