Abstract

Men write as women in the Japanese Literature at least since the 10th century, therefore, there is nothing new in Dazai Osamu (1909-1948) writing texts with female narrators in the first half of the 20th, however, in this article, we try to show that his female narrators have some characteristics that distinguish them from the female figures from the works of contemporaries like Kawabata Yasunari and Tanizaki Jun’ichirô.
