This essay articulating the relationship between subjectivity and lyrical seeks to rethink the concept of "subject" through a dialectic in which the subject does not leave immediately identify the individual person, but rather, as the crucible of social mediations, whose lack of love, detected by analysis of Sappho's, Baudelaire’s and Drummond’s poems, points to the structurally unsound character of those mediations that cross and, now, constitute the individual subject.
