Mário Cláudio's novel-biography Guilhermina is viewed as a work of historiographic metafiction that enables the discovery of new meanings produced by the image of Guilhermina Suggia as constrasted with that of Pablo Casals - two celebrated musicians. Mário Cláudio's text operates an artistic re-creation of the past, while challenging the literary canons and the power of cultural institutions.Downloads
