Abstract

The article is an account of a visit to the canvas A Boba (1917)
by Anita Malfatti. The natural content of the yellow color and
the voice as thresholds between nature and culture are taken as
elements of convergence between the poetics of this artist from
São Paulo and other contemporaries poetics such as those of
Joseph Beuys and Tunga, also trying to reflect on the hypothesis
of Giorgio Agamben, in his first book of essays, about the
emergence of a theatricality around contemporary art that tends
to an insidious “restoration of natural beauty”.
