Construir o contemporâneo: Bauchau revendo Antígona, de Sófocles

Comparing Antigone, Bauchau’s second book on the cycle of Thebes and the tragedy with the same name by Sophocle, I wonder how the Antigone character resembles queer, Freudian and astrophysical theories. Distinct from Sophocles, the Antigone of Bauchau unfolds not only in another woman, Io, who announces the future of the woman, free and hopeful, but androgenous, she, like Freud, defines the human psyche as a double contrary to the traditional division into genres of society and confirms the poem of Mario de Andrade: I am three hundred.
