This article examines the different ways in which graphic style is presented in journalistic graphic narratives, and more precisely in the way graphic authorship affects documentary limitations. Concepts valued in the journalistic field, such as novelty, authenticity and objectivity, are confronted with the concept of graphic authorship. In order to understand how this specific reading contract is manifested and to deal with these natural tensions that permeate comics, our point of departure is the concept of visual style, and more specifically the concept of graphiation, by Philippe Marion.
