Abstract

In this work I intend to approach the relation between exteriority, interiority and language in Saint Augustine. In order to do so, I intend to approach what the concept of sign is and other relations such as the ones between the sign and exteriority and the sign and language. I’ll try to demonstrate how the division proposed by John F. Crosson changes completely what I believe to be Sain Augustine views regarding what the teaching of Christ is and how it occurs. I’ll base my analysis on the De Magistro, Confessions and Th e Trinity
