Abstract

At first, the text will present the concept of grammar as it appears in the Philosophical Investigations. Then I will examine the role that the so-called grammatical propositions performs in what Wittgenstein called determination of sense, in contrast with employment of sense. Inasmuch as this work is connected with a project on the arbitrariness of grammar, I hope to show, on concluding, that what philosophy usually calls a necessary proposition is the mere expression of a grammatical rule that amongst other elements compounds the process of teaching the diff erent uses of expressions of a language
