Abstract

The author attempt to identify how the Earth landscape was born and to clarify the semantic contents of the word landscape. The birth or construction of the idea of landscape went parallel to the hominization processes and took place together with the development of human culture and technology. In the Modern Age the idea of landscape took a central place on the development of many scientifics, artistics and literaries branches of the knowledge. In Germany it was the analysis category that dominates Geography in the XIX and the first half of the XX century. To clarify the semantic contents of the word landscape the author proposes three neologisms: landscapeginary, landscapery and landscapelogy.
