Abstract

This paper aims at reminding some points of the history of a group of studies on Krisis/Exit! texts. Such group has been established at the Urban Geography Laboratory (LABUR), at the Geography Department of FFLCH-USP, for twenty years. In such brief resume we sought to focus aspects of the brazilian modernization process and the critique of the fetichist system of commodity production, the contradictory constitution of the group inside the academic environment and the tensions of this insertion. Thus, we tried to outline moments of the reception of works from authors such as Robert Kurz, Roswitha Scholz, among others, and the publicizing of these works, gradually moving to a different approach to such theories, what would lead us to particularized studies of modernization processes. We emphasize throughout the text the daily living of the members of the group, specially in their moments of collective building of a critical position towards the sociability based on value and dissociation.
