Abstract

Interview with anthropologist Guilherme Sá and sociologist Maria Caramez Carlotto, both members of the youngest generation of Science and Technology scholars in Brazil. The interviewees are professors at two of Brazil's leading universities, the Universidade de Brasília (UnB), and the Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC) in São Paulo, respectively. Their research addresses theoretical issues and explores ways to incorporate these reflections into society at large. The interview highlights the personal paths taken in developing their respective fields of study, their professional trajectories, and their perspectives on the competing models of science in the country.
