Abstract

The author reflects on the municipal library system, bringing up the discussion about the work carried out by librarians, mainly from the city of São Paulo, between 2005 and 2012 – a very intense process of reinvigorating the city’s public libraries. He describes his career at the period, in which he accompanied the efforts of the librarians and assisted in their work.
