Abstract

There are two necessary fields of reflection for material, radical and consequent thinking on the relationship between music and society. The first one, that of the social determination of music. The second, that of the political role of music and also of the musician. I point here, philosophically, to these two problems, their structural bases and their political consequences.

    Alysson Leandro Mascaro is Lecturer and PhD in Philosophy and General Theory of Law by the Faculty of Law of the University of São Paulo (Largo São Francisco). Associate Professor in the same Department where he teaches undergraduate and graduate law courses. Member of the CLACSO Working Group (2019-2022) Legal criticism and socio-political conflicts.
