Abstract

The need of greener cities seems to be consensual but it is necessary a deeper understanding of the role vegetation in the cities and the impact of its presence in everyday life of the inhabitants. By raising the main benefits and associated costs with the presence of vegetation in the cities this article aims to contribute to the urban green areas planning and the enhancement of green in the cities.
