Abstract

This article takes as its object the linguistic-discursive practices of rappers, from the conception of the 3rd wave of Sociolinguistics, about the interactions between language and the social, described by works like Eckert (2005; 2006). For that, we analyzed transcripts of interviews with four subjects, granted to the “Manos e Minas” program, focusing on the discursive markers and the lexical choices made. To better understand how language is used in the construction of the social practices of this group of speakers, we also analyzed the discursive representations of these testimonies and the identity outlines carried out.
