This article starts by pointing out the growing flow of phony news which distorts the decision-making process in democracy, and then locates in the concept of “factual truth” as conceived by philosopher Hannah Arendt a possible ethical value capable of conducting the practice of those working with information who are guided by the will to preserve and strengthen the democratic culture.Downloads
