Brazilian justice system encompasses a highly sophisticated structure, made up of countless courts, courts of first instance, sundry institutions and thousands of civil servants. As it is the case of all institutions, the Judiciary is in a constant process of reforms, prompted by the need to be updated so as to meet the huge and growing social demand for more and better services. Albeit sophisticated, the existing model does not satisfactorily meet the needs of the population; and that shows that the goals of social pacification it should aim will be achieved when the necessary structural, legislative and management reforms have been implemented.Downloads
