Abstract

The AA. studied the topographic and the microscopic morphology of the sinus node in the ass by histological methods. This structure is located at the superior third of the “sulcus terminalis", dihedron caval-atrial angle and the left side of the junction of the cranial caval vein with the right atrium. The morphological characteristics of the specialized cells of the node, as well as the different types of fibers that compose the vascular conjunctive stroma are stressed. Glycogen is abundant in the cytoplasm of the specialized cells of the node.
