Abstract

In the context of an examination of the teaching situation in the school, an external, international evaluator is invited to provide observations from a broader point of view. Taking advantage of the issue at hand, debated even in a lecture given by the architect, and the extensive experience of this professional, a series of questions were prepared for Daniele Vitale, regarding her considerations about the possibility of teaching architectural design. When answering, the architect shares some of his personal experiences, as a teacher and as a student. The fact that one of his main teachers was Aldo Rossi himself gives ample interest to what he talks about, and allows a closer contact with the thought of this great icon of architecture.
