Catatonia is a complex motor syndrome that all physicians must have knowledge about. Its symptoms are secondary to psychiatric disorders or other medical conditions. Therefore, this article aims to approach how to properly diagnose and assess this condition. The correct treatment, quickly initiated and effective, has an impact on the patients morbimortality.
