Saúde: um campo transdisciplinar?

Abstract

This paper focuses on the integration of the various health professions as a strategy for overcoming the fragmentation of knowledge into multiple disciplines. The implicationsforthe health professions of the adoption of the classic paradigm of Science which was inaugurated with modern rationalism are them discussed, with special emphasis on two of its consequences; the fragmentation of knowledge as a power strategy and the fragmentation of health practices as a corporative protection device. It concludes with a discussion of the prerequisites for overcoming the present state of affairs and. for the integration of practices within interdisciplinary teams.
