The main and most prominent figure of the Russian avant-garde dramaturgy is Vladimir Mayakovsky. However, under the iconoclastic influence of avant-garde aesthetics, other writers of the period experimented with fundamental innovations in the making of dramatic texts. One of the most notable artists from the group was the poet Velimir Khlebnikov. This article aims to introduce the characteristics of the Khlebnikovian dramatic text and its influence across the author's works in other genres. The experimental nature of Khlebnikov's pieces allows us to observe his cubofuturist creation method and how the author stretched the genre's conventional structure and its signature language to the limit, taking it to an unusual level of abstraction.
